WHAT ARE PUFFY / TIRED EYES?

The term tired eyes can be used to describe a range of concerns that affect the whole of the eye area, including: puffy eyes, eyebags, droopy eyelids, fallen brows, tear troughs and dark circles.

These concerns are often caused by the effects of the ageing process and can contribute to a worn or stressed look to the upper face.

WHAT CAUSES PUFFY / TIRED EYES?

The skin around the eyes is naturally more delicate than on the rest of the face, with the ageing process contributing to the skin becoming weaker and thinner. The skin can then become loose and stretched as elasticity declines which, for the upper and lower lids, can appear as baggy skin. Fluid or fatty tissue can settle in loose skin below the eye, creating a puffy appearance which can also cast a shadow, and give the look of a dark circle.
