WHAT IS TREATMENT FOR HYPERHIDROSIS?
A treatment for hyperhidrosis involves a series of injections containing a muscle relaxing product. This product is also used in anti-wrinkle injections and is becoming more and more popular when used to treat a number of other medical and cosmetic conditions.
This treatment is safe and effective and is suitable for use on areas of the body where excessive sweating is a concern, including: palms of the hands, soles of the feet and under the arms.
THE TREATMENT PROCESS
This procedure addresses the concerning area directly, and is administered using a very fine needle. A numbing cream can be applied 20 – 30 minutes prior to treatment, if this is preferred. This may include a course of treatments to help achieve the desired end result, which can be maintained through regular visits to the clinic.

Treatment for hyperhidrosis works by stopping the nerves in the affected area, from sending messages to the glands to produce sweat. Depending on the severity of the condition, it usually improves gradually and areas that can often feel moist and uncomfortable, will start to feel much drier. This can greatly improve a person’s overall well-being as self-confidence can start to increase as a result. It is advised by our experts to ensure that the treated area is approached carefully in the 6 hours that follow the procedure, taking care to avoid: hot baths / showers, sun exposure and rubbing or touching the area.

The product used in this treatment is FDA approved and is considered safe to use. It is used in many other procedures, including: reducing facial wrinkles, to reduce the severity and frequency of migraines and chronic headaches, to stop jaw clenching and reduce teeth grinding. Most patients find this treatment to be comfortable. The Facebible understands that each person has a different tolerance level and will offer the application of a numbing cream, if the patient feels this will be beneficial.
The side effects of an injectable treatment can include: redness, swelling, small bumps / bruising where the needle was inserted and some slight sensitivity. In most cases, a patient will find these effects do not cause any significant downtime and will subside within 24 or 48 hours.
